FORMER Tottenham, Barcelona and AC Milan cult hero Kevin-Prince Boateng has announced his retirement from football.
The 36-year-old most recently plied his trade for second division German side Hertha Berlin.
The attacking midfielder announced his retirement on Instagram with a heartfelt video that looked back through his career as a player.
Boateng will no doubt be best remembered for his remarkable repertoire of goals – his most iconic coming in the 2012 Champions League for Ac Milan against Arsenal.
The midfielder started his career at Hertha, where he starred as a key member of the team’s youth sides before being snapped up by Tottenham in 2007.
