NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
A school librarian left his 1-year-old daughter in a car for more than five hours on a hot summer day.
Michael Dodes, 41, left his child in his SUV upon arriving at Walter J Damrosch School in the Bronx on Thursday, police told the New York Post. He had recently began working as a city school librarian at the campus on Jennings Street in the Morrisania neighborhood.
A co-worker of Dodes saw his daughter in the Subaru Forester and smashed the rear passenger window to pull her out, police said.
The girl was transported to BronxCare Health System. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
