NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
A man who was freed from prison after killing his terminally ill wife could end up back behind bars following a last-minute appeal.
David Hunter, 76, was freed last week and returned to his home in Tremithousa near Paphos in Cyprus where he’d lived with his wife Janice, 74.
But now the Cypriot Attorney General has appealed both his sentence and his acquittal at the last minute.
He’d spent 19 months in prison, and today was the final day in which his manslaughter conviction could be appealed.
