Pause Project to help Dorset mothers with children in care

Mothers who have had two or more children taken into care are being offered new life-changing support in Dorset – if they commit to using contraception for 18 months.

More than 1,000 women across the UK have been helped by the Pause Project.

Making contraception a part of the deal is controversial.

But one woman has told the BBC it was essential to help her focus on overcoming her struggles and become a better mother.

Amy, whose name has been changed, had both her children taken into care.
