Sony’s financial report indicates that multiple new titles have had their release dates put back, but exactly which games are they are?
There’s no denying the fact: Sony has been acting very oddly ever since Microsoft announced it was buying Activision Blizzard, and yet despite that issue now having been resolved there’s been no change in Sony’s attitude.
They haven’t announced or previewed any major new single-player games in over a year and while some theorised that was in order to play down their capabilities to monopoly investigators, it’s now beginning to seem like the Activision Blizzard acquisition had little or nothing to do with their radio silence.
What exactly is going on remains a mystery, but we do now know one thing for certain: Sony has had to delay more than one first party exclusive.
At the moment, the only confirmed first party games from Sony are this October’s Spider-Man 2, the undated Wolverine game, and a trio of live service titles (Fairgame$, Helldivers 2, and Concord) that were briefly highlighted at the PlayStation Showcase.
