The defender joined Bayern from Stuggart in 2018 but has long been angered by the club's use of him as a right-back, instead of at centre-back. That leaves Pavard and Nice ace Jean-Clair Todibo for Ten Hag to choose between, according to Fabrizio Romano. While Todibo is four years Pavard's junior, he lacks experience and has more room to grow at centre-back. Pavard is a ready-made signing and has vast Champions League and international experience. Bayern are reportedly willing to sell the defender for around £26m, which is lower than the £30m fee United will receive for Maguire.
