The Conservative Deputy Chairman is raking in an extra £100,000 a year by moonlighting on the controversial TV channel despite previously ranting about MP second jobs
Tory hypocrite Lee Anderson earns the equivalent of a weekly family food shop for every minute his GB News show is on air, figures show.
The Conservative Deputy Chairman has begun hosting a weekly programme on the channel despite previously ranting about MPs taking second jobs. Mr Anderson, who already earns £86,584 as an MP, is raking in an extra £100,000 a year by moonlighting on TV.
His show runs for as little as 35 minutes each week, excluding advert breaks and news bulletins. This works at around £55 per minute. Official government figures show the average weekly food shop amounts to £56.50 a week.
Rishi Sunak is refusing to sack Mr Anderson after he this week suggested that asylum seekers should “f*** off back to France”.
