 A viral video of two daughters helping their dad get his confidence back after years of trauma has touched the hearts of many. For the last two decades, 58-year-old Floyde Duprey has struggled with his mental health, resulting in him having issues with his teeth and 'unkept' dreadlocks. In 1991, Floyde was first diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder and has spent the past 30 years living with the condition with the help of his family. After Floyde decided to embark on a fresh start, his daughters – 33-year-old Imaarl and 31-year-old Pixie – were determined to do their bit. The pair helped their dad reinvent his look, to get his confidence back. Imaarl and Pixie got to work transforming their dad from top to toe, by tidying his beard and giving his face a pamper session. Floyde even let them cut his hair – which they described as 'unkept' after growing for 36 years without proper care in the last two decades. 'We had read a lot about the psychological effects of trauma being stored in the hair and dad's appearance had changed drastically while he had been unwell, losing his teeth made him look unkept and knocked his confidence, so we thought it was the right steps and made the cut a lot easier.' He said: 'For 35 years I've been an outcast and people only recognised me for my illness and not my actual character. Sadly, I've had more bad experiences than good experiences as the majority of my life I haven't been well. 'But my biggest supporters are my two daughters and my niece, Marcelle.
