In a press release, he said: "Forget overcrowded Newquay, if you're looking for a dog-friendly seaside holiday visit New Quay instead." Set in west Wales, New Quay has been described as a "coastal gem" by holidaymakers who've praised the seaside town on TikTok. TikTok user Beth, who is known as bgreen76 on the social media platform, posted a video about her recent trip. A caption over the video read: "Did you know Wales also has its own New Quay? And, it is stunning." The footage showed Beth as she explored the local beaches, which she described as having the "bluest sea" with "gorgeous views". In the comments, other holidaymakers also described the town as "beautiful" and "amazing". One person added: "I pick Wales over Devon every time we plan our road trips." Travellers have also been raving about the seaside town on TripAdvisor too. One person wrote: "Fabulous dog-friendly beach that's quite honestly stunning." The Welsh town is home to several beaches including Harbour Beach, which is set in New Quay's Harbour. It's home to stretches of golden sand and is regarded as a safe swimming spot too. The small beach is well-maintained and even has an on-duty lifeguard. There's also a cafe on the beach and toilets that are available to the public too.
