Danish international striker Rasmus Hojlund has some big Premier League targets in front of him already after joining Manchester United from Atalanta in a £72m deal
Manchester United new boy Rasmus Hojlund is ready to challenge Marcus Rashford for the honour of the club’s quickest player after completing his move from Atalanta.
The Denmark star is officially a United player, with his £72m transfer announced over the weekend, While Hojlund might not be ready to make his debut immediately, thanks to an injury picked up in pre-season, his arrival has been greeted warmly around Old Trafford.
One thing he will bring is pace, with his last club manager Gian Piero Gasperini claiming he can run 100m in less than 11 seconds. Next in his sights is a top speed of 35.95 km/h, set by Rashford last season, and the 20-year-old has backed himself to rise to the challenge.
“Yeah, definitely,” Hojlund told club media when asked if Gasperini’s claim was true. “I don’t know if it’s like you stand with a watch every day on the side but when we came inside after the training, they said I had quite a high top speed.
