 Robert Swan, an actor who appeared in films including The Untouchables, Natural Born Killers and Hoosiers, has died aged 78. His death was confirmed by a close friend, who said that he died peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday morning at his home in Rolling Prairie, Indiana. 'He was my best friend, he was a great actor, amazing producer, singer,' his friend Betty Hoeffner told Fox News Digital. 'I hope he gets the due he deserves because he was such a versatile actor and was a multi-talented human being.' Robert Swan, an actor who appeared in films including The Untouchables, Natural Born Killers and Hoosiers, has died aged 78.
His death was confirmed by close friend Betty Hoeffner, who said that he died peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday morning at his home in Rolling Prairie, Indiana.
Born in Chicago on October 20 1944, Swan was said to have been on the verge of launching a screenplay telling the story of Samuel Johnson, the man who published A Dictionary of the English Language in the 18th century and was given a posthumous diagnosis of Tourette syndrome.
Hoeffner said that a reading of the screenplay will take place at an event called A Celebration of Life, with Golden Globe winner Daniel J Travanti reading the part of the lead role.
