Speaking about her latest purchase, a source said: "Katie is well aware that there's strong feelings towards her and pet ownership. The pup is still too young to leave the house, but Katie is keen to keep Tank on the down low for now. "She was heartbroken after Blade's death in June and is determined to keep Tank safe. In time, it could grow into her new protection dog and fill the void left by Blade. Katie has always lived by her own rules and she's adamant she'll prove her critics wrong and give Tank a loving home," reports The Sun. Katie said she was said she was "numb and shocked" after her beloved German Shepherd died. It was reported the guard dog was killed after being struck by a car close to her home. On her Instagram story, Katie said: "Somebody has killed my dog on purpose as an attack against me. I'm investigating it." The troubled star then posted again to her Instagram page revealing she had removed her extensions following her ordeal as she spoke of having "so much s**t thrown at me".
