Rasmus Hojlund arrived at Manchester United last week, but Erik ten Hag has warned that fans will have to wait before seeing the striker in action for his new club
Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Rasmus Hojlund will miss Manchester United’s opening game of the season.
The Red Devils host Wolves at Old Trafford on Monday night, hoping to kick off their season with three points. But boss Ten Hag has suffered an early blow to those hopes, with new star signing Hojlund being sidelined through injury.
Hojlund arrived at United last week in a £72million move from Serie A side Atalanta, with plans for the Dane to lead the line. Ten Hag had been searching for a new striker for much of the summer, with Hojlund emerging as his top target after United moved on from Harry Kane.
But United fans will be forced to wait to see their team’s new star striker in action. That is because Ten Hag has ruled him out of the Wolves clash through injury after he picked up an issue during his final few weeks with Atalanta.
