‘Mountain guide and two clients were roped together’ when they died in Glen Coe

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

The hikers who fell to their deaths on a trip into Glen Coe were a mountain guide and his two clients roped together, it is believed.

Three walkers were found dead in the Scottish Highland mountains after they failed to return from a trip on Saturday.

More details are emerging about the tragedy, and sources have now said the group had roped themselves together to get across the Aonach Eagach Ridge.

They said it is ‘pretty normal’ to do this on sections of this ridge – often dubbed the narrowest on the British mainland.
