Chelsea remain without a front-of-shirt sponsor, despite their Premier League campaign getting under way in just six days’ time when Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues host Liverpool
An adult subscription platform has attempted to capitalise on Chelsea still being without a shirt sponsor six days before the new season by offering them a £40million deal.
Chelsea’s deal with mobile network Three came to an end in May and the Blues are yet to find a replacement, having seen an agreement with Paramount+ fall through earlier this summer. During pre-season, Mauricio Pochettino’s team have been wearing their new Nike home shirt for 2023-24 without a front-of-shirt sponsor, and fans remain unable to purchase the kit ahead of their new Premier League campaign beginning this Sunday at home to Liverpool.
My.Club, which previously made Italian giants Inter Milan a lucrative offer ahead of the Champions League final, have now turned to one of the Premier League’s biggest teams and stumped up around £40m in an effort to convince Blues chiefs to accept it and end the uncertainty. The adult website’s president, Mike Ford, explained: “We here at My.Club want to sponsor Chelsea as they look to improve on last season’s disappointment.
“We want to have the My.Club logo emblazoned on the front of Chelsea’s jerseys before the club kicks off its 2023 season against Liverpool. This contribution would work for both parties. For Blues, it will help to make perfect signings like Kylian [Mbappe]. For us, it will ensure Blues fans have only two clubs to call ‘mine.’ It would be great having Mbappe, [Mykhalo] Mudryk and other Chelsea players sharing their training exclusives and hosting AMAs on My.Club, a platform for all creators.
