Meghan ‘definitely snubbed by media savvy Princess Kate and Prince William’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “definitely snubbed” Meghan Markle with their failure to acknowledge her 42nd birthday, a royal expert has said. And Hilary Fordwich also believes while King Charles III was simply following protocol by not offering birthday greetings of his own, his decision not to do so highlights the “less than warm and fuzzy” relationship between the pair. Meghan’s birthday was on Friday – but not any of the senior royals opted to mention it, leading many to suggest a connection between that and she and Prince Harry ‘s controversial Netflix documentatary earlier this year, during which they highlighted multiple criticisms. Ms Forwich, a frequent commentator on royal affairs who is based in Washington, told Express.co.uk: “The most definite snub is from Prince William and Kate since they aren’t bound by protocol at all. “Indeed, last year they posted on both their Twitter and Instagram accounts best wishes accompanying a photo of Meghan. Meghan Markle was ‘definitely snubbed’ by Kate and husband Prince William, said Hilary Fordwich (Image: GETTY) She added: “We certainly know they are social media savvy and actually did post on her birthday this year but not to her, but rather to send congratulatory comments to the documentary team who made the Rhino Man (a film by the Global Conservation Corps a nonprofit dedicated to conserving wildlife through education).” In relation to the King, business consultant Ms Fordwich , pointed out that the late Queen had previously limited birthday wishes to “working royals”. She continued: “So this year, King Charles not sending formal wishes, albeit viewed as a snub by many, is actually following protocol established by QEII. “Of course though, King Charles isn’t bound by previous protocol. If he wished he could certainly update it. He could also have established a new amended protocol of a differing manner.
