Nick Owen has issued an urgent plea after announcing his cancer diagnosis, urging for people to get checked even if they don’t have any symptoms.

This week, it was revealed that the presenter was diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ and ‘extensive’ prostate cancer in April, and will be stepping away from the studio to focus on his health.

The BBC star’s diagnosis came about after he saw a specialist, who initially wasn’t ‘too worried’, before he went for a scan and had a biopsy done.
