BBC Nick Owen’s cancer diagnosis was ‘worst day of his life’

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Nick Owen has been a familiar face on BBC Midlands Today for over 25 years and has now revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer.

The 75-year-old presenter announced he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer after seeing a specialist, who was initially not ‘too worried’.

He will be stepping away from the studio to focus on his health but the BBC has said it looks forward to welcoming him back when Nick is ready.

Nick was actually diagnosed back in April and shared that the cancer was ‘aggressive’ and ‘extensive’.
