Can a dishwasher tablet help remove yellow pillow stains? Pillows often turn yellow because of sweat and other factors. Sweat contains urea which is what causes yellow stains. With this in mind, fans of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch, whose full name is Sophie Hinchliffe, have shared their simple solution for removing yellow stains from pillows. The cleaning and lifestyle influencer has more than 4.7 million followers on Instagram and often shares her garden and home tips online. Fans of hers have taken to social media in recent years to share their own hacks for solving common household problems. Irene Mattison asked: ‘I’ve got a couple of pillows that have stains on them. Pillows often turn yellow because of sweat and other factors ‘I keep throwing them out and buying new ones, but these are only four months old and they’re not cheap. Can anyone help with advice to remove the stains please?’ The post was inundated with more than 120 comments from Mrs Hinch fans but the most suggested solution was to wash them with a dishwasher tablet. Sam Brazenell said: ‘Use a dishwasher tablet to wash them.
