Kylian Mbappe continues to train away from the first-team Paris Saint-Germain squad amid claims he has made disparaging remarks regarding his teammates.
Mbappe will not sign the one-year contract extension in his PSG contract meaning that his deal will expire in 12 months. Mirror Football understands that the French club’s priority is to ensure he does not leave without a transfer fee, meaning they are prepared to cash in on the superstar this summer.
The French superstar has claimed that he intends to remain at the Ligue 1 champions beyond this summer but it is understood that PSG will push for his exit as they are aware that the alternative is missing out on a landmark transfer fee entirely. That has led to somewhat of a stalemate with the player.
Real Madrid have been firm favourites to sign the striker for several years but have been unsuccessful with their pursuit of the Frenchman to date. Mbappe was excluded from PSG’s pre-season tour as the situation becomes increasingly complicated and an exit appears ever likely.
