Dr Krystal Cascetta, a well respected doctor at New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital, shot her baby girl and then herself at her $1million home in Somers, New York, she shared with her husband
The heartbreaking reason a top doctor who shot herself and her baby started working in the medical profession in the first place has been unearthed.
Dr Krystal Cascetta, 40, walked into her baby girl’s bedroom at her $1million Somers home and shot the infant before shooting herself, according to police. Dr Cascetta was an accomplished cancer doctor at New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital.
She was a star doctor, having graduated from Albany Medical College and winning awards at every hospital she worked at. At Mt Sinai she specialised in breast cancer research.
Krystal lived with her husband 37-year-old Tim Talty, who she married in 2019 in Brooklyn. He owns the protein bar company Talty Bars and the website claims Krystal’s expertise to advise on the product’s creation.
