Prior to Dr Krystal Cascetta’s murder-suicide, police had visited her household at least two times throughout the summer. Neighbours in New York were left stunned by the tragic events
Emergency services visited a top cancer doctor’s home TWICE before she shot herself and her newborn baby in a suspected murder-suicide, neighbours claim.
Dr Krystal Cascetta, 40, was discovered dead at her home in New York alongside her four-month-old infant’s body after blasting the child then turning the weapon on herself on Saturday morning. Cascetta was a respected oncologist at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital.
Neighbours now claim police officers had visited her address at least twice this summer for unknown reasons. Cascetta’s parents were at home when the murder-suicide occurred and someone from inside the home called 911, State Trooper Steven Nevel confirmed.
The caller had reported hearing gunshots, but at the time did not know the child had been killed. Before they were able to reach the room, they heard a second gunshot and found that they were locked out. Once they were finally able to open the door, they found both Cascetta and her child dead.
