Speaking after Ian Watkins’ sentencing in 2013, a Detective Chief Inspector said the investigation uncovered ‘the most disturbing child abuse evidence I have seen in my 28 years as a police officer’
Disgraced Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins is in a critical condition after three ‘heavy duty’ prison inmates held him hostage for six hours and stabbed him in the neck as part of a ‘targeted attack.’
The 46-year-old predator was freed by a ‘Tornado’ team of specially trained riot officers who hurled a stun grenade into the cell after storming the wing at HMP Wakefield.
The prison has been dubbed ‘Monster Mansion’ for housing some of the UK’s most notorious criminals.
A source told the Sunday Mirror that paedophile Watkins had been ‘battered’ in the attack with paramedics seen giving him life-saving treatment.
