Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Heap Street in Burnley, Lancashire, to reports that a one-year-old had fallen from a window of a property shortly after 10.30am today (Sunday). A number of people rushed to help the little boy after he fell before an air ambulance airlifted him to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. An investigation has been launched by Lancashire Constabulary and police are appealing for witnesses and to locate several people who stopped to help the baby before crews arrived, the Manchester Evening News reports . DI Mark Saunders said: ‘First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family at this distressing time. We know following the incident, there were people who thankfully stopped to help. “We’re really keen to identify those individuals and speak to them to find out what happened’ Anyone with information or CCTV footage that could help police is asked to contact 101 quoting log 0497 of August 6.
