The Duke of Sussex is travelling to Africa soon to film his upcoming Netflix documentary and is hoping to take his four-year-old son Archie on the trip, reported The Mirror. He now reportedly wants Archie not to miss any more big moments. A source told Woman’s Day magazine: ‘He’s old enough now to appreciate it, and Harry has been desperate for Archie not to miss out on once-in-a-lifetime experiences since the Coronation.’ Harry will be following in his mother Princess Diana’s footsteps by heading back to Africa for the new solo project. The reports came via Page Six, with a Netflix insider telling them: “Obviously, Harry has a lot of roots in Africa, and he feels at home there.” The publication also reports the exact nature of the documentary is not yet known, and Harry cannot move ahead with his plans due to the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike. The source continued: ‘He’s always wanted to show his kids the continent that has been so special to him for so many years. ‘It’s here he’s felt close to his mum where he followed in her footsteps, and it’s almost a familial right that he gets the joy of showing Africa to his son.’ Harry will be following in his mother Princess Diana’s footsteps by heading back to Africa (Image: Getty Images) Prince Harry has been fond of going to Africa and make regular visits to the country. The Duke of Sussex travelled to Kenya and stayed on Kiwayu Island in the Indian Ocean when he was a child. Whether he is helping Aids orphans in the impoverished kingdom of Lesotho or witnessing land mine clearance projects in Angola, Harry has long spoken of his strong bond with the continent. He has long said he “feels more myself” in Africa and he once revealed his dream job would be over there. He once said: “I’d probably live in Africa. I’d like to spend all my time out there… As a job, it would probably be a safari guide.” And now the Duke is excited to get back to where he feels most “at peace”.
