Since then, he is said to have disturbed residents in rural Worcestershire and, now it has emerged Mr Doran, thought to be in his early 30s, is accused of menacing behaviour in Lincolnshire. He is using the name Alan Gray, which also appears on a planning application submitted to the local council requesting a change of use to grazing land he bought in Stickney, Lincolnshire, to a site with nearly 30 stands for static homes and touring caravans. Locals in the village told Daily Mail a photograph of Mr Doran taken four years ago in Worcestershire showed the man was now living under a different name in the area. None of the neighbours wanted to be named, reportedly for fear of reprisals. But Mr Doran, who is part of the traveller community, denied claims of bullying behaviour, insisting he and his family intend to "live there in peace". East Lindsey District Council says it has not given "Mr Gray" permission to use the land as yet. One Stickney resident told the publication: "Alan Gray put his fingers to the side of his head, mimicking a gun." A source familiar with the case in Stickney said: "When he bought the land he's on at the moment, everyone assumed it would continue to be used for storage and grazing. Instead he's started building on it illegally. He's also been threatening people in the area." Lincolnshire Police confirmed complaints had been received and it was investigating them.
