Booth said: 'A year has passed with great difficulty grieving as a family the loss of our beloved Darius. We have been unable to arrange anything public for his anniversary. We shall be privately holding it with our other two beloved sons and close friends. 'As his funeral was privately undertaken with invitations, we are hoping to hold a future memorial and celebration of his life in Glasgow Cathedral.' In September last year, an investigation and autopsy ruled that Darius had died from 'inhalation of chloroethane' and that his death was an accident. He had been suffering from chronic pain at the time of his death, following a car accident in 2010 in Spain that left him with a broken neck. Booth added: 'Darius touched peoples' hearts and minds with his meaningful songs, his warmth, heartfelt smile, joyful companionship and generous love and care. 'His dedicated work for many charities, serving also as an Ambassador for the Prince's Trust and the personal sacrifices he made until the last day of his life, will not be forgotten. His philanthropic ideas and plans for the environment and education to make people's life better will continue as part of his legacy.'
