Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ‘set to produce a new film for Netflix’ based on a bestselling novel, with one expert suggesting they have been handed ‘a prize asset’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be set to make a lot of money as they’ve found themselves a “prize asset” to help with their next career move, according to an expert.
The couple are reportedly set to produce a new film for Netflix as part of their $112million (£88,000) deal with the streaming giant. The movie is based on the bestselling novel Meet Me at the Lake, by author Carley Fortune.
The story focuses on a couple who fall in love in their 30s and deals with themes of childhood trauma and post-natal depression. It’s proven to be a hit with readers, selling 37,000 copies in its first week alone.
Meghan and Harry are said to have spent $3.8million (£3million) to secure the rights to the film. PR guru Mark Borkowski thinks the project could pay off for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
