The American president of the Bloomsbury publishing company has been killed in a boating accident off the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy.
Adrienne Vaughan, 45, was a passenger in a speedboat when it smashed into a much larger sailing boat that was hosting a wedding party.
The publishing executive was reportedly hurled into the water and hit by the boat’s propellers.
Her husband, Mike White, was injured in the collision and taken to hospital in Ravello, a town that overlooks the Amalfi Coast.
