Actress who sobbed when just one person turned up to show gets sell out 24 hours later

On Thursday, the London-based actress shared a teary-eyed photo of herself as she explained only one person showed up to her one-woman show

Actress Georgie Grier returned to the stage stronger than ever to an almost sold-out crowd a day after she revealed only one person turned up to the event. On Thursday, the London-based actress shared a teary-eyed photo of herself as she explained what happened.

“There was one person in my audience today when I performed my one-woman play, Sunsets at #edfringe. It’s fine, isn’t it? It’s fine…?” Georgie Grier told her followers about her show, Sunsets, at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Her post went viral as comedians Jason Manford and Dara O’Briain shared words of encouragement to the actress. Fans rushed to buy tickets to the show and 24 hours later, fans were seen queueing out of the door.

Around 80% of the event, which costs £11 a head, was sold out. The actress seemed to be in high spirits as she performed for the larger crowd. People travelled from far and wide to support her after seeing her post online.
