Donald Trump has said he will be able to hold fewer rallies and broadcast less TV adverts during the 2024 campaign because of the escalating cost of his legal bills.
The former president accused Democrats of promoting “bogus cases” against him to “make it difficult for me to campaign”.
Mr Trump also called on the Supreme Court to “intercede” before he is tried, arguing that prosecuting him was unconstitutional.
Meanwhile, Democrats in Congress called for his criminal trials to be televised live.
