 BBC star Owain Wyn Evans is reportedly the latest star to join the line-up for Strictly Come Dancing 2023. The 39-year-old would be competing against Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams and Angela Rippon, who have so far been confirmed for the BBC juggernaut series. A friend of the broadcaster is claimed to have said that he 'can't wait to get started' on the show because he is a 'huge fan' and has a 'genuine interest in dancing despite being a novice.' 'Owain appreciates he'll have it tougher than most, given he'll continue his daily radio hosting duties, but he's up for the challenge,' they continued to The Sun. Owain was previously a weather presenter on BBC Look North, North West Tonight and BBC Breakfast. Owain's other TV appearances include S4C TV programme Iaith ar Daith during which he took Carol Vorderman on a tour of Wales and taught her to speak to Welsh language. He has also featured a celebrity guest on Michael McIntyre's The Wheel and co-presented BBC's New Year's Eve The Big New Year's In alongside Maya Jama and Paddy McGuinness.
