Met Office issues thunderstorms warning as ‘atrocious’ weather just gets worse

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

The Met Office has issued a further weather warning – this time for thunderstorms – as Storm Antoni hits the UK.

Forecasters issued an amber warning with the potential for damaging gusts of wind to some south-western areas of both England and Wales between 11am and 7pm.

That followed a yellow warning for ‘unseasonably windy weather’ to southern parts of the UK between 8am and 8pm. There is also a yellow warning until 11am for unseasonably wet and windy conditions which may lead to some disruption in Northern Ireland.

Now, another yellow warning has been issued for thunderstorms across southeast England from 11am through until 10pm.
