RAF spent £1.75m on diversity drive to target ethnic minorities

Military ambitions for inclusivity under scrutiny as Royal Air Force pursues diversity recruitment following discrimination scandal

“The Royal Air Force has invested £1.75 million in a four-year diversity initiative aimed at increasing the recruitment of ethnic minorities, as revealed by recent figures.

An extensive advertising campaign encompassing television, radio, and social media has been launched in order to attract a wide spectrum of skills and backgrounds.

This initiative follows a highly publicised scandal wherein the RAF exhibited discriminatory behavior towards numerous white men during recruitment efforts.

The Army’s leadership is currently contemplating the adoption of a similar strategy to align with their ambitions for diverse recruitment.
