Orange walls, gold tiles and a bright green kitchen — inside a vibrant London home

Nicola Gill is one of those “how do they do it?” people, with a portfolio career that includes interior design, holiday lets and journalism, plus four teenagers – she and her musician partner, Pete Wareham, have two each – two rescue dogs and three Siamese rescue cats, all while doing up an absolute wreck of a house. It would leave many of us tearing our hair out, but Gill handles it all with good humour and a dash of glamour.

Wareham, a lecturer in pop music at Goldsmiths, University of London, brings his fair share of glamour into the mix too: his critically acclaimed band, Melt Yourself Down, have a cult following.
