Posting on TikTok he explained: 'In 2015 I bought this car for £900. I then began restoring it with zero experience 'The rust was so bad i had to have the car shot blasted which then left me with a car full of holes that needed repairing. 'After many long hours, many later nights, many many beers and as a fresh paint job, it now looks and sounds like this.' The classic Mini was originally mint beige - but by the time Tom bought it, it was silver and covered in old stickers. He opted to change it up completely - painting it a stunning burnt orange. Tom explained: 'This car is now a real head turner! 'The day I got it I stopped at a service station at Mcdonald's and six people crowded round my car to admire it and ask me about it. 'The car still currently is a 998cc But my future plans are for a b16 type R Vtec Engine when I can get the Insurance and have the money for the Conversion Kit. 'Anyone who has ever owned a Mini will understand that they are far more fun to drive than any other car!' In total he spent £6,500 to restore the car to its former beauty.
