Meghan Markle becoming US president may not be as far-fetched as many might think, with one expert predicting fireworks if she and Prince Harry were to ever host the Royal Family on a state visit at the White House. The Duchess of Sussex has been tipped to one day enter US politics following a series of interventions she has made on certain subjects, with it understood she has long had ambitions to make such a move. Speculation surged earlier this week when Joe Biden’s sister and political strategist reportedly endorsed her for the White House. She also topped a poll in which Democrats were asked which women they would vote for. But Meghan’s relationship with the Royal Family is said to have hit rock bottom following a series of claims she and Harry have made against them over the past couple of years. True Royalty TV co-founder Nick Bullen – an award-winning documentarian who has produced programmes about the Royal Family for 20 years – believes it could be box office viewing if she ever became US president and had to host the royals on a state visit. Imagine a world in which she does make it to the White House. ” Prince Harry is the first husband. There’s a state visit, and what happens then if Meghan is hosting the British Royal Family at the White House? You’re going to want a front-row seat for that, aren’t you?” Bullen, who has also worked closely with King Charles III for around a decade – also added more weight to the speculation Meghan could one day make a move into US politics. The royal expert continued: “I’ve heard from some very reliable sources that she is writing to people to try and secure political positions. I think that is absolutely an ambition for her.” Prince Harry would be the ‘First Husband’ if Meghan became president, according to the royal expert (Image: GETTY) Meghan and Harry recently suffered a blow when their £15 million deal with Spotify was mutually ended. The Duchess of Sussex’s podcast series Archetypes was being streamed on the platform, but just 12 episodes (one series) were released. In a further humiliating moment for the couple – just hours after the announcement about the Spotify deal – a top exec used his own podcast to lash out at them, furiously branding them “grifters.” The Sussexes are now thought to be on different career paths. Harry is focusing on his Heart of Invictus documentary on Netflix and will reportedly travel to Africa to film another at a later date. Bullen added: “I think you’ll see [the Duke and Duchess of Sussex] working much more separately because brand Sussex is definitely on the wane. “Now, I think you’ll see them concentrating on their individual brands to try and reclaim some of the ground.” Meghan has made a series of interventions into US politics since she and Harry relocated to Montecito, California, lobbying politicians in the country for changes to parental leave and climate policy. Earlier this week, it was reported president Joe Biden ‘s sister Valerie Biden Owens, who is also his political strategist, has endorsed Meghan as a potential candidate for the hot seat. The Duchess also topped a poll in which Democrats were asked which women they would vote for. She tied with vice president Kamala Harris, and was ahead of former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, according to MailOnline.
