Good Morning Britain star announces break from show as fans beg for their return

Good Morning Britain meteorologist Laura Tobin took to social media to announce her two-week break from the ITV programme but fans are already pleading for her to return

Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin told fans she’s taking a two-week holiday. The 41-year-old meteorologist, who has been part of the ITV show since 2014, announced her holiday on social media.

Writing on Twitter, she said: “I’m on leave from @GMB for 2 weeks to spend some much needed time with family & friends. Don’t miss me too much.” Fans immediately rushed to the comment section to tell her how much they’ll miss her. One ITV viewer commented: “Noooooo i will miss you,” while another added: “NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!” One person posted: “We will miss you but enjoy your deserved time off x.”

Laura worked for the BBC before moving to the ITV Breakfast show Daybreak in 2012. Daybreak was soon replaced by Good Morning Britain in early 2014. She has been on the programme ever since.

The meteorologist’s break comes a month after she was forced to brush off an awkward encounter during a live broadcast on GMB. While presenting live from Stonehenge in June when a male admirer approached her.
