One person posted: "We will miss you but enjoy your deserved time off x." Laura worked for the BBC before moving to the ITV Breakfast show Daybreak in 2012. Daybreak was soon replaced by Good Morning Britain in early 2014. She has been on the programme ever since. The meteorologist's break comes a month after she was forced to brush off an awkward encounter during a live broadcast on GMB. While presenting live from Stonehenge in June when a male admirer approached her. "There are lots of people very interested in Laura's weather forecast," Susanna Reid quipped from the ITV studio as a man appeared on camera and wrapped his arm around Laura. "How many new friends have you made this morning Laura?" Susanna went on to joke as Laura tried to laugh the random encounter off. The man wasn't deterred and proceeded to wrap a foil blanket around her as he thought she might be "cold". He flashed a huge smile to the camera while she laughed and told him: " Thank you very much. That's really helpful and kind." The segment was completely derailed as he went on to flirt with her and seemingly tried to make a move on her while she tried to continue presenting.
