Frogmore Cottage is located in Windsor A representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex earlier this year announced that King Charles III had ordered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to leave their Frogmore Cottage home. Frogmore Cottage, located on the Royal Windsor estate, is owned by the Crown Estate. Originally, Queen Elizabeth II gave the couple the home as a gift. The five-bedroom cottage was only recently given a lovely sight in the Netflix series “Harry & Meghan,” which followed the Sussexes’ lives as they departed the UK. The pair enjoyed their love story and went down memory lane while they were packing up Frogmore Cottage to move to North America. The £2.4million refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage garnered mass media attention in 2019. Meghan and Harry made updates to their new Windsor home, which desperately needed work. A general view of the exterior of Frogmore Cottage During their renovations, the couple added a yoga studio, a vegetable garden, and two orangeries to the property. It’s commonly reported that the Duchess of Sussex enjoys cooking, so seeing images of her elegant kitchen came as no surprise during the Netflix documentary. During the programme, Harry entered the Frogmore kitchen when Meghan was prepping for an event by painting her nails. The documentary also included a second clip of a private event that occurred in the kitchen on the eve of one of their final UK appearances as working royals. Meghan and Harry showed inside of Frogmore Cottage during Netflix series The kitchen featured warm wood and a darker grey paint colour, which perfectly characterised the inside. It appeared very cosy. Although the industrial light fixtures, the washbasin and the marble worktops made it modern and not overly kitschy, the timber wood gave Frogmore Cottage a feeling of a country home. In some pictures, Meghan could be seen seated at the counter while Harry leant in for a kiss. Additional glimpses into the lovely residence were provided on social media, including Zoom calls and photos from Princess Eugenie’s time in the property between 2020 and 2022. More info Meghan and Harry in their former kitchen Initially, the royal couple joined the expanding group of young Londoners who were opting to leave the city (and its excessive house costs) in favour of a taste of the country life in Windsor. Harry and Meghan gave up their Kensington Palace residence, Nottingham Cottage, in exchange for five 19th-century staff houses, which they were combining into one sizable family home called Frogmore Cottage. The original plan at the time was for Prince Archie to grow up in Frogmore Cottage away from the hustle and bustle in central London. However, Meghan and Harry stepped back as senior members of the Royal Family in January 2020 and subsequently moved to California. Trending
