As well as previously presenting Pointless, he has co-presented two BBC Two quiz shows, Two Tribes and Richard Osman’s House of Games. He has also been a team captain on The Fake News Show and Insert Name Here, both of which are comedy panel shows. The 52-year-old is also a successful novelist with his own book series – The Thursday Murder Club. There are currently three books in the series. The books were such a massive success that the first novel in the series was picked up by Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg for a film adaptation. While at school he gained broadcasting experience as a regular contributor to the open-access music show, Turn It Up, which went out on Sunday evenings on BBC Radio Sussex. Richard then studied Politics and Sociology at Trinity College, Cambridge. He began his career working as an executive producer on British game shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats and 10 O’Clock Live. More info He then pitched the idea of Pointless to the BBC and became its co-presenter alongside Alexander Armstrong. Away from the screen, Richard lives in Chiswick in West London with his wife British actress Ingrid Oliver. Chiswick is an affluent suburb known for its village-like charm and high-end bars and restaurants. The area is popular with creative professionals who want to be close to London but away from the bustle of the capital.
