Climate protesters drape black banner over Prime Minister’s Yorkshire mansion
Environmental protesters have climbed on the roof of Rishi Sunak’s family home in protest at his oil drilling expansion.
Activists from Greenpeace UK released a picture of themselves on the £2 million Grade II listed mansion in North Yorkshire on Thursday morning, draping a large sheet of black cloth which is covering a facade.
The Prime Minister is currently on holiday with his wife and two daughters in the US.
The protesters said they intended to stay on his roof in the small village of Kirby Sigston, in his constituency, for at least an hour.
