Eco-mob protesters scale Rishi Sunak’s home and drape it in ‘oily-black’ fabric

Eco protesters have climbed on the roof of Rishi Sunak’s home and draped it in black material. Activists from Greenpeace staged the demonstration at the Prime Minister’s property in Yorkshire this morning in protest at the decision to grant new oil and gas licences in the North Sea. The campaign group tweeted a picture showing four people on the roof of the house. Another two activists stand in front of the home with a banner reading: “Rishi Sunak – oil profits or our future?” The group said: “Climbers are on the roof of Rishi Sunak’s mansion draping it in 200 metres of oily-black fabric to drive home the dangerous consequences of a new drilling frenzy.” The demonstration comes as the PM is on holiday with his family across the pond in California.
