NFL legend Tom Brady becomes co-owner of Championship football club

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

NFL legend Tom Brady has been unveiled as a new minority shareholder in Championship side Birmingham City and will assume the role of chairman of the club’s advisory board.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner has invested in Birmingham following a takeover by American businessman Tom Wagner earlier in the summer.

Brady retired ‘for good’ in February after spending 23 seasons in the NFL and winning six Super Bowlers with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Explaining his decision to take on a role at Birmingham, who finished 17th in the Championship last season, Brady said: ‘Birmingham City is an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honour for me.
