Gwyneth Paltrow has announced that she is taking a break from social media, with fans having expressed support after she shared the news.
The actor, 50, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share with her followers that she would be taking some time away from the platform. Gwyneth told her fans that she’s “going to work on being present” during her absence from it.
She announced her temporary departure from social media alongside a photo of herself. It showed the Goop founder sitting in a garden. It appeared to have been taken at night and she credited actor John Hickey as the photographer. Alongside the photo, Gwyneth wrote in the caption: “Taking this full moon energy with me as I go into a social media break.”
She continued: “Going to work on being present,” before concluding: “Happy summer.” The post has amassed more than 50,000 likes since it was uploaded on the platform earlier this week. It has been liked by several celebrities, who included fellow actors Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jordana Brewster, Vanessa Hudgens and Naomi Watts.
