A CT scan revealed thrombosis and Jonny was put into a coma, but sadly died in the early hours of July 15, surrounded by his relatives. A carpenter by trade, he had a "love for making things and creating things - putting his stamp on everything," said his partner Rhiannon Davies, 36. Jonny started experiencing migraines last December, which got "worse and worse" and would cause him to lose his vision, she explained. He went back and forth to opticians, but they couldn't see anything and thought he was suffering from "cluster migraines". Rhiannon told Wales Online: "He went to the doctor's a few times but they said to go to A&E, but he wouldn't, because we've been to A&E in the past and we've just been sent home. His close friend had a brain tumour - so I think in a way he was a bit scared." On July 12, Jonny was at the gym when he had a stroke due to a lack of oxygen to the brain from the blood clot. He was rushed to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil by ambulance, where he was sent for a CT scan and medics discovered the blood clot. "They said they needed to erupt it - they said there was an 80% chance he'd get better but 3% chance he'd get worse. He was the 3%," said Rhiannon. "I just feel like nothing is the same anymore. He was such a big character - he was the life and soul of everything. My daughter is doing so well - that's the only relief I'm really having at the moment."
