A new dad has taken to social media to share how his wife asked him to cancel his boys trip because their son was struggling to sleep through the night and she was exhausted – but he decided to go anyway
Anyone who has children can appreciate that getting enough sleep once a new baby comes along is difficult and how best to juggle schedules can become a difficult task. While many would argue that it is down to both parents to stay up and be supportive of one another, others might believe that mums have to burden more responsibility as they can breastfeed.
Now, one father has divided opinions after admitting that he upset his wife by leaving her alone with their five-month-old baby while he went on a boys’ holiday. The 33-year-old explained how their child has recently been struggling to sleep through the night and how he kept his wife up constantly because the little one wouldn’t settle with him.
With this in mind, he didn’t think it was fair for his wife to be upset and angry about him going on holiday with his pals to enjoy a golfing trip. Taking to the social media platform Reddit, the dad asked if he was the a**hole for not cancelling the boys’ trip upon his wife’s request.
Going into detail he explained that when their son was five-months-old, he and his friends began organising their annual holiday that would take place in six months’ time. He asked his wife if she minded him going and she said it was fine so they carried on planning by finding an AirBnB and booking flights.
