Euphoria star Angus Cloud finished filming his part in a new horror film before his tragic death at 25. The new Universal Pictures movie is set to be released in April of 2024
Euphoria star Angus Cloud was reported to have finished filming for his new role in a Universal Pictures monster thriller directed by the Scream filmmakers prior to his tragic death on Monday. Universal had no comment on how Cloud’s death will impact the ongoing project.
The film, which has yet to have a title released, is directed by the directors of the successful horror franchise Scream by filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The cast of the movie also includes Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Alisha Weir, Kevin Durand and Will Catlett, according to Variety.
The untitled film which Cloud made an appearance in is not yet complete and filming for the horror movie has been impacted by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. But fans of Angus will get the chance to see the beloved actor on the big screen again as the new film is predicted to be ready for release in April 2024.
The star, most well-known for his role as Fezco on the HBO series Euphoria with Zendaya, is said to have died at his family’s home in Oakland, California Monday. In a statement, his family said: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
