FRANKIE DETTORI’S global farewell tour looks set to finally end in December – after the jockey said he had ‘promised’ to ride Kinross in Hong Kong.
The duo teamed up for Group 2 success in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood on Tuesday, pocketing over £100,000 in the process.
Dettori and Kinross’ partnership has brought in over £1million for owner Marc Chan and the jockey called the superstar sprinter his ‘ATM machine’.
It is fitting then that Dettori’s final ever race as a jockey could come aboard the same horse in December.
Dettori said he had promised Hong Kong-based Chan he would ride the horse in Longines Hong Kong Mile Stakes at Sha Tin on December 11.
