 A family has been left devastated after two young sisters were killed in a car crash on a country road. Madison North, 21, and Liberty, 17, died last Tuesday night after their Volkswagen Polo was involved in a collision with an Audi RS6 on the A361 near Frome, in Somerset. The Audi driver, a 30-year-old man, remains in hospital with critical injuries. Family friend Sonya Stubbings created a fundraising page this week where she wrote: 'Inviting you to make a contribution to the most adorable girls whose lives were taken way too soon.' The aunt of the sisters – known as Maddie and Libby – wrote on Facebook: 'Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. My beautiful nieces Maddie 21 and Libby 17. 'Adorable daughters of my dear brother Jason and sister-in-law Verity. Lives taken way too soon.' Another person added: 'Missing you both every day, I'll forever cherish the memories we made. I can't remember my life without you both, now I'm going to live it for you. Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses and information around the crash, and particularly wish to speak to the driver of a white Volkswagen which was in the area at the time. Officers said in a statement: 'On Tuesday, July 25 at around 10.30pm, officers were called to the A361 Frome Bypass following a fatal collision involving a VW Polo and an Audi RS6. 'Formal identification has now taken place and we can confirm the deceased are sisters Madison, aged 21, and Liberty North, aged 17, known as Maddie and Libby.
