A teenager appeared to cry when a man was taken into custody at the apartment where she was living, according to a neighbour.
Alicia Navarro, now 18-year-old, unexpectedly walked into a small police department in Havre, Montana, almost four years after she disappeared from her Arizona home, requesting to be removed from the missing children list. She appeared unharmed.
Although it’s believed that Navarro left Arizona of her own free will, investigators believe she may be a victim.
Police raided a Havre apartment where it’s believed she was living with a man in his 20s, for about a year. Authorities have confirmed that a person was detained and questioned in connection to Alicia’s disappearance, but they have not said whether it was the man she was living with.
